"I never for a day gave up listening to the songs of our birds, or watching their peculiar habits, or delineating them the best I could."

Relax, enjoy our natural surroundings and find serenity...

Goldfinch

We all are fortunate to have so many ways to appreciate nature. From admiring the birds visiting backyard feeders, to hiking the trails of a local conservation field, to grabbing a fishing pole and going down to a nearby river. There are endless gifts that nature provides.

My hometown is Newton, Massachusetts, part of the Metro-West area outside Boston. Blessed with an abundance of wildlife preserves, conservation lands, lakes, ponds, rivers and woodlands; Middlesex County is a cornucopia of nature opportunities.
A search of the internet and a willingness to get some excersise is all that is needed to spend the day admiring our natural surroundings.

Traverse the trails, hike the hills, wander the woods... the wonders of nature are awaiting you. My enjoyment is capturing it with a camera in hand and a song in my heart. The older we get, the more we are thankful for that "garden of eden" thought to be gone with the wind of time. Gratefully, that garden exists and all that is needed is to visit it.

Enjoy my site. It's my way of saying "thank you" Mother Nature.
